Veritas Smart Grid

Veritas Smart Grid

Veritas Smart Grid provides software and services to instrument and automate commercial buildings and other types of facilities for energy responsiveness. This enables our customers to easily generate cash flow through grid-sponsored demand response programs and reduce energy costs by bridging the gap between wholesale power prices and retail electricity costs. Veritas Smart Grid also enables grid operators to supplement, avoid or defer costly investments in generation, transmission and distribution facilities and enhance the reliability of electric power. Our solutions are used by large commercial and industrial customers to automate demand response events in conjunction with their energy provider, and meet sustainability goals.

Supply Side Consulting:

Our role as an electricity brokerage firm starts by gathering data about your facility, analyzing electricity loads and market conditions and helping you develop a procurement strategy that fits your risk tolerance and budget requirements. We then put this information into a format on which suppliers are able to bid. We issue a customized Request for Proposal (RFP) to all eligible suppliers, seeking a variety of pricing options and terms so we can identify the best offer for each client. Veritas Retail Energy then negotiates with suppliers on the customer's behalf and presents the best offer to you. Once an offer is negotiated and is acceptable, we will review and provide selected supplier contract, ensure all documents are completed properly, verify completed paperwork is received by and accepted by selected supplier and finally facilitate switching process.

Natural Gas

We work with our business, commercial and industrial clients to help them achieve cost savings possible through the deregulation of natural gas. As an independent energy brokerage firm, our obligation is to you, the client. Since we are not affiliated with utilities or suppliers, we are not beholden to any one company and can create maximum competition among suppliers to serve your natural gas needs. When you engage Veritas Retail Energy, we will let you know when and where market opportunities exist to purchase natural gas. After identifying opportunities and developing a sound procurement strategy, our natural gas consultants will seek bids from all eligible suppliers. Our bidding process is designed to create price transparency and to allow for an understandable apples-to-apples comparison of offers. Our objective throughout the process is to provide you the intelligence and information to contract at the right time, price and terms.

Veritas Green

The term 'green power' generally refers to electricity supplied in whole or in part from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, geothermal, hydropower, and various forms of biomass. Increasingly, electricity customers are being given electricity supply options, either as retail power markets open to competition or when their regulated utilities develop green pricing programs. Many electricity customers now have an option of purchasing a green power product directly from their electricity supplier or by switching to a supplier with a green power product. If such an option is not available, customers can support renewable energy development through the purchase of renewable energy certificates. By choosing to purchase a green power product, you can support increased development of renewable energy sources, which can reduce the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas. Greater reliance on renewable sources also provides economic benefits and can improve our national energy security. Let Veritas Retail Energy explain all options.

Demand side consulting:

LaaR and EILS

Demand response programs offered by Veritas Retail Energy provide revenue opportunities for electricity end-users. By enrolling in these programs, participants agree to reduce their electricity consumption in response to peak system demand, grid emergencies or peak wholesale prices, thereby contributing to grid stability and lower market prices. Demand response, both LaaR - load acting as a resource, and EILS - emergency interruptible load service, can be a powerful tool in a company's overall energy management strategy. By participating in demand response programs, companies can earn significant revenue while simultaneously reducing energy expenses through lower consumption. These strategies can help offset the rising costs of energy and improve a company's bottom line.

In addition, participation in demand response programs results in significant environmental benefits. By reducing the peak electric load on the grid, demand response participants help reduce the need for more power plants, lowering carbon dioxide and other emissions. At the same time, demand response participants reduce their own consumption of electricity and the associated carbon emissions.

and many others.
